Standard sealing protects your stone and needs renewing every few years. STAIN-PROOF uses permanent bonding technology that works below the surface, and it's tested to the highest stain resistance class there is. That puts it a tier above standard sealing, including our own.
This is where STAIN-PROOF earns its keep in Scottsdale. Outdoor stone takes monsoon rain, pool water, planters, and grills, and a treated surface resists what bare pavers absorb. The natural color and finish stay exactly as they are.
The same invisible protection works on kitchen and bath counters: stain resistance with the stone looking exactly as it does today. It's an easy add when we're already on site for your patio. One distinction matters. STAIN-PROOF is the premium tier of sealing; it slows staining and does not stop etching. If your marble island takes lemon juice and wine daily and etching is the problem, RAKU coating is a different category above sealing, and we'll tell you plainly which one your counter needs. Natural stone, tile, pavers, concrete, brick, and grout, indoors and out. Patios, pool surrounds, countertops, showers, floors, and walls are all within range, and the surface keeps its natural color and finish on every one of them. What it won't do is stop etching or wear, and it isn't a reason to leave a spill sitting. We'd rather you read that here than discover it after an acid mark shows up on the travertine.
Restaurant patios, hotel pool decks, and office entries get cleaned harder and more often than any home surface. STAIN-PROOF stands up to commercial cleaning methods, dries quickly, and keeps the stone's natural color and finish, so the surface looks the way it was specified for as long as it's maintained.

How is this different from regular sealing?

How long until I can use my patio again?
Keep moisture off the surface for six hours after application. The surface is usable once the initial drying period has passed, and the sealer keeps curing for up to three weeks to reach maximum penetration and repellency.
How do I take care of it afterward?
Wipe up spills when they happen, and clean with the products and methods the manufacturer recommends. A treated surface is easier to clean and dries quickly, so upkeep is lighter than on bare stone. Does it work on travertine?
Yes. Travertine, limestone, and other natural stone are all within its range, indoors and out. One caveat: travertine and other softer stones in saltwater or freeze-thaw conditions may call for the manufacturer's 40SK consolidator instead, so tell us at the estimate if the surface is a saltwater pool deck.
