Why does my flagstone only look good when it is wet?
The Arizona sun fades unsealed flagstone to a pale version of itself, and the rich color only shows when the stone is wet. A color-enhancing sealer keeps that wet look through the dry months, and it protects the stone from staining and erosion at the same time.
Why is my flagstone patio shedding grit and pitting?
Porous flagstone that has lost its sealer erodes. It sheds grit and pits where water runs or sprinklers hit. Deep cleaning, repair of chipped or cracked pieces, and a penetrating sealer help prevent further erosion and water damage.
Can you remove rust stains and planter marks from flagstone?
We assess them during your free in-home estimate. Unsealed stone drinks whatever sits on it, and iron in the stone or in irrigation water leaves rust-colored marks, so results depend on how deep the stain has gone. Sealing afterward helps prevent the next planter or grill from leaving a mark.
