How do you clean quartzite countertops?
With pH-neutral, non-acidic products that remove buildup without harming the stone. Acidic cleaners are the one thing to keep away from quartzite, because prolonged acid contact can etch an unsealed surface.
Can quartzite kitchen counters be coated instead of sealed?
Yes. For kitchen islands and counters that see wine, citrus, and daily cooking, RAKU coating adds a bonded protective layer on top of the stone. Where you prefer to keep the stone bare, premium-quality sealers protect against stains and moisture penetration instead. Your free in-home estimate covers both options.
Can etched or dull quartzite be restored?
Yes. Honing removes etching and scratches that have gone into the surface, and polishing brings the finish back to an even shine across the whole counter or floor.
Is my counter really quartzite, or is it marble?
Some stone sold as quartzite is partly or mostly marble, and it etches like marble. We identify the stone before we restore it, because the two need different care, and the etch removal and sealing steps work either way.
