What to include in your request

The more detail you can give us, the faster we can put a number together. Tell us which surface you are looking at: a floor, countertop, shower, patio, pool deck or wall. Name the stone or tile if you know it, such as travertine, marble, granite, limestone, flagstone, saltillo, or ceramic tile and grout. If you do not know, that is fine, identifying it is part of the visit. A rough square footage or a room count helps, and so does a plain description of the problem: dull walkways, etch marks and water rings, dark grout lines, a cloudy or peeling sealer, chips and cracks, or stone that has never been sealed. Each of those calls for a different fix, so a sentence or two on what you are seeing matters. Photos are welcome but not required, and let us know whether it is a home or a commercial space.

How the estimate works

Every estimate is free and done in person. The condition of the stone decides the approach: how deep the soil sits in the pores and grout lines, whether the finish is etched or only dirty, and whether the existing sealer is still doing its job. Seeing the surface lets us recommend only the work it needs, whether that is a deep clean and reseal, honing and polishing to remove etching, stripping a failed coating, or repairing chips and cracks in place. If you are not sure which service fits, the stone care guide covers what to expect from travertine, marble, granite, and the other stones common in Arizona homes.

Not sure what your stone is?

Most Valley homes have one of a handful of surfaces, and each one has its own page with photos and the care it needs. Travertine is the most common floor we see, with its filled holes, gray walkways and dark grout. Marble and limestone etch from anything acidic and lose their shine in kitchens and baths. Granite and quartzite counters mostly need chip repair, cleaning and resealing. Flagstone, slate and cantera show up on patios and entries, where the sun fades color and old sealer peels. Saltillo and terracotta are soft clay tiles that hold old coatings and stains. Porcelain and quartz are dense manufactured surfaces where the grout, not the tile, is usually the problem. Onyx is rare, soft and translucent, and needs careful handling. If none of these sound right, describe what you see and we will sort it out on site.

Where we work

Stone Care of Arizona is based in Scottsdale and serves homes and businesses across the Phoenix metro, including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Carefree, Fountain Hills, Phoenix, Arcadia, the Biltmore, Desert Ridge, Ahwatukee and Glendale. We are insured and bonded. Beyond stone, the same crews handle tile and grout, showers, patios and pavers, carpet and upholstery, and commercial floors.

Commercial spaces

Offices, retail stores, restaurants, lobbies and vacation rentals get the same in-person estimate. Tell us the square footage, the hours the space is in use, and whether the floors need to be back in service by a set time. Our commercial services page covers tile and grout cleaning and stone floor care for businesses across Greater Phoenix, including after-hours appointments so the work happens while the space is empty. Interior designers, builders and property managers can request an estimate for a client the same way, and our reviews page shows before and after results from recent jobs.

What happens after you send it

We get back to you the same business day, usually by phone, to ask any follow-up questions and set a time for the in-person visit. Most weekday form submissions get a call back within about 15 minutes. There is no obligation at any point. If you would rather talk it through now, call (480) 625-0557, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm.
